What We Do:
- Mission Statement:
- The mission of the Golden West Community Service District is to maintain the dedicated roadways within the district.
- Responsibilities:
- Maintain roadway drainage (the ditches and culverts, excluding driveway culverts). NOTE: property owners MUST maintain their driveway culverts. Failure to do so will result in the District doing the maintenance at the owner's expense (either directly billed to the owner or posted to the owner's property tax bill).
- Maintain and enforce a permit process to ensure that Property Owners, Contractors, and Utilities do not damage District infrastructure. Infrastructure is defined as any of the above listed maintenance items. NOTE: failure to obtain a free permit will result in fines of $100 per day until a permit is obtained (that's $3,000 per month), so get a permit before working on District maintained infrastructure! Remember: permits are required and free.
- Maintain the portions of trees extending over dedicated roadways and roadway encroachments
